HEALTH: JUICING AND ALL OF ITS GLORY

Juicing is fun, easy, and good for you! For me it's difficult to get all of my essential nutrients in through eating...There is literally just not enough time in the day for me to get 6 servings of veggies in, no way. I began juicing last summer, along side my boyfriend Max (a.k.a master of cleaning and cutting all fruits and veggies) and i have been hooked ever since. I find that juicing is fun, in that - you get to throw different flavors together...all the while, it is completely healthy. 

However, there are some rules of thumb. I learned from a Nutrition professor at my University (Univ. of HI) that the last things you want to juice are organic sprouts, and leafy veggies that grow directly out of manure...that probably makes sense, right? Not really something we think about, but could get you extremely ill otherwise. 

I will be sharing some of my favorite juicing recipes all summer long, but for now, here are some tips! If you love creamy/frothy juice: throw in some orange sweet potatoes (goes great with lime)! If you love a refreshing kick, toss in some blueberries, blackberries and mint! and if you are like me and love earthy flavors, beets are the best route!
